Love Games-2016 Story Line:

The Bhatt camp and T-Series have introduced us to the genre of bold and dark cinema with franchises like HATE STORY, MURDER and JISM. And continuing with it is yet another erotic thriller LOVE GAMES that promises to showcase another story of modern relationships filled with lust, betrayal and lots of 'love'. Let's see if all the love talks of Love Games have managed to fulfill the expectations of the audience.

The story starts with the sexy Ramona Raichand (Patralekha) losing her husband in an accident. However, she is a sex addict and decides to find solace in the arms of her f*ck buddy Sameer Saxena aka Sam (Gaurav Arora). Sam, on the other hand, is a lonely, rich and spoilt son of a wealthy business tycoon. While sex, drugs and self-harm is his way of living, Sam, who consults a psychologist for his depressive state owing to a dark past, tries to find adventure in his life. Hence, he decides to accompany his sex buddy Ramona in 'love games'. This game of infidelity is all about seducing happy couples and getting laid with them. Sam has to score the wife, while Ramona has to go for the husband and whoever gets laid first wins. And the loser will supply a week of cocaine to the winner! Amidst this game, things get serious when Sam falls in love with Alisha Asthana (Tara Alisha Berry), a doctor by profession but married to an abusive criminal lawyer Gaurav Asthana (Hiten Tejwani). Sam's love for Alisha threatens his 'friends with benefits' sort of relation with Ramona and she starts losing her partner and in turn also her ambitions. How far will Ramona go to fulfill her desires and her dreams and how will Sam stop himself from becoming a pawn in Ramona's next love game is what forms the rest of the story.

While Vikram Bhatt has given us some fine films, we cannot expect anything less from this filmmaker when it comes to this genre of erotica. He masters it and Love Games reinstates the same. The film has ample love making scenes shot aesthetically. The plot, like other Bhatt films, explores the deep, dark and dangerous sides of humans with several twists and turns and handling them comes naturally to the director. A special mention to a scene shot at the hospital, wherein Alisha rushes to attend a serious patient. While the actors in the scene play their parts with conviction, the scene also portrays how a hospital handles the chaos with authenticity. Though the story moves with a good flow overall, there are several dips in the plotline. In fact, certain portions look a tad bit stretched, especially in the second half.

It should have been a Ramona film all the way. Considering the way this good girl gone bad character should wow the audience, the Citylights girl Patralekha fails to match up to the pedestal of this Priyanka Chopra-meets-Rosamund Pike (from Gone Girl) sort of character. May be it is her debut film's demure girl image or may be it wasn't the character for her, but Patralekha's act as Ramona could be termed as a 'casting woe'. On the other hand, Gaurav Arora does a decent job of playing the depressed and helpless character of Sam Saxena, who resists to abide by Ramona's mean and cruel ways. Tara Alisha Berry, however, has surprised her with her good performance as a doctor. While she debuted in Mastram, this actress has come a long way we believe. Her confidence as a doctor is impressive. Blue eyed boy of television Hiten Tejwani, who charmed the audiences with his perfect son avatar in serials, has by far given us one of his most disappointing performances. Other characters help in taking the movie forward.

What plays a great part in sort of setting the tone of the film is the music. The romantic number 'Mohabbat' and 'Awargi' are soothing, while 'Aye Dil' is hummable and catchy. The cinematography by Manoj Soni is good but the editing by Kuldeep Madan is little haphazard. However, what is worth mentionable is also the fact that the film delivers what it promises - 114 minutes filled with entertainment and bold content. Unlike films that showcase toned down content as compared to its trailers, it can be fairly said that the content in Love Games hasn't been compromised. From bold liplocks to words like 'f*ck', 'sex' haven't been beeped or censored in any way.

Overall, Love Games is a game you would like to be involved in as it is a treat for erotica lovers. The lethal combination of sexual content and aggressive promotions will ensure a safe ride for the film.

Neerja:

Neerja movie review:

The tragic story of Neerja Bhanot, who died while saving the lives of others, is full of tears and heartbreak. What we want to know, going into ‘Neerja’, the film based on the last two days of her 23 years on this earth, is : will it do justice to that pretty young woman with extraordinary courage? (Also  read: Neerja box office collections: Sonam Kapoor starrer earns Rs. 12.30 cr. in two days )
Short answer : yes.

Director Ram Madhvani’s long overdue return (where did he go missing all these years, after his terrific debut ‘Let’s Talk’?) to the screen is invested with the urgency and the sense of impending doom which tells us just how those terror-filled hours must have been like for Neerja, who was on that hopping Pan Am flight, New Delhi-Karachi-Frankfurt-New York, celebrating her first time as chief purser.

She would have celebrated her 24th birthday on the 7th of September, 1986. Instead, her bullet-ridden body comes back to her devastated family, mother Rama (Shabana Azmi), father Harish (Tikku), her brothers, and the man who loves her (Shekhar Ravjiani).

About the Movie Neerja
Since the very first release of the year 2016, Wazir, Bollywood is leaving its viewers awestruck with exceptional and engaging cinematic experiences week after week. Last month Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Airlift’ shared a soul stirring story stupendously and made us proud as an Indian, and today Ram Madhvani’s directorial debut, ‘Neerja’ is all geared up to move its audience with a powerful real story of brave heart and selfless young girl Neerja Bhanot, who was a purser for Pan Am and got killed by a terrorist while she did her best and saved passengers on the flight after it was hijacked.
It would have been an honour for Sonam Kapoor to play Neerja and even to share the screen with veteran actress Shabana Azmi. While the critics and Bollywood are giving thumbs up to ‘Neerja’, it is time for us to find out whether the fashionista gave her best to one of the most talked about movies of the year – ‘Neerja’!

Fitoor

Fitoor review:
Inspiration’ Charles Dickens is just the first casualty. Fitoor spares no one, not Kashmir, not Delhi, not London, not artists, and not even poor Pakistan, which somehow finds its way into this tale essentially about love traversing social divides. (Also read: Sanam Re movie review: Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam’s film is cliche-ridden)
Meanwhile, having decided that in a film where all of Aditya Roy Kapoor’s hair is bunched upon his head and all of Katrina’s is plunged in a Chinar-esque red, in the hope perhaps that you don’t notice their blank faces below, Tabu takes it upon herself to act for the entire film. Her overladen, overdressed, overwrought Begum has done a hop, skip and jump (should that even be possible) from Haider and Vishal Bhardwaj to Fitoor and Abhishek Kapoor. (Read: Fitoor and Sanam Re, two love stories to clash at box-office today)
There is a Ms Havisham in there but you have to search for it past all this, the flowing hair again and those ornate clothes (whatever happened to the sole wedding dress of Ms Havisham?).
So, once upon a time there was a boy, here called Noor , who lived in this innocent place called Srinagar (shot beautifully) where fierce militants with wounds (Ajay Devgn, hard to decipher, but something about Army does get mentioned) accosted children like him in the middle of the night and demanded help. Noor doesn’t think twice which, as we know from Great Expectations, sets one chapter in his life. (Read: Fitoor music review: Sporadically Brilliant)
The other gets started when Noor and his brother-in-law get called to repair her mansion (‘Anjuman’, no less), by Begum. There Noor meets Firdaus, who comes riding in on a horse, across snow. A sight of her red cheeks and lips, and Noor is besotted. Begum notices, and by turns encourages and snubs Noor in his growing fascination for Firdaus. (Also read: Ajay Devgn has ‘intense’ role in ‘Fitoor’)
So far, Abhishek Kapoor, who gave us a quite remarkable and solidly middle-class Kai Po Che, appears to know what he is doing. The boy cast as Noor speaks with an unmistakable Kashmiri accent, his beautiful and kind sister walks with a mysterious limp that always halts Noor in his tracks, and the brother-in-law is supportive and unobtrusive. Tabu is still getting into the act. (PHOTOS: Style file: Katrina Kaif totally rocks feminine chic)
It’s when the sister dies, in a blast, the limp never explained, Firdaus goes away, Noor gets bigger and bulkier (Aditya Kapoor never stays in clothes, upper or lower for too long) and lands in Delhi that Fitoor enters from the epoch of belief to the epoch of incredulity (the Charles Dickens line the film is fond of repeating, though never reaching this particular part).
Financed by a mysterious benefactor, ‘the boy from Dal’ gets plonked from phiran on the lake to an artfully undone studio in midst of could-be Lodhi Garden. There is a Delhi out there where strangers open their hearts, parties, purse strings, not to mention letterheads giving their address as Sujan Singh Park, to accommodate growing artists among glowing monuments, only you may have never seen it. Meanwhile, an incredible number of foreigners keep flitting about. But what do we know?

Fitoor Story
Fitoor movie is inspired by Charles Dickson’s 'The Great Expectations', and is the love story of an orphan who falls for a wealthy, heartless girl.

THe movie explores love as an energy — free-flowing and not bound by rules. The movie depicts the relationship between three characters: a young Kashmiri boy named Noor (Aditya); his muse Firdaus (Katrina) and the mercurial Begum (Tabu).

Story in detail:
This story follows a young Kashmiri boy Noor, his muse Firdaus and a mercurial Begum, through love lost and realized over the course of two generations. Thirteen-year-old Noor, an impressionable shikara boy living by the piers of Kashmir’s Dal Lake, is lured into the world of the Begum - the wealthiest woman in town.

Young Noor falls in love with the Begum’s daughter, Firdaus - a beautiful child who has been raised to break hearts. Suffering from a broken heart herself, the Begum finds her mark in Noor. Noor begins to obsess over Firdaus, someone who belongs to a world completely different from his.

Seasons change and Noor leaves his hometown to move to the city of Delhi to build his career as an artist. He strives to be accepted into the sophisticated social circles that Firdaus is a part of in a quest to win her love, while the Begum plots retribution on their young and innocent love.

Review:
Greetings again from the darkness. Movie profanity and crude humor are best used selectively, and certainly not as a comedy crutch. Melissa McCarthy has not built her career on subtlety, but even for her standards, this latest comes across as a lazy effort with missed opportunities for both laughs and a message.

Ms. McCarthy re-teams with those responsible for Tammy (2014), including her husband writer/director Ben Falcone and co-writer Steve Mallory. Here she plays Michelle Darnell, an egotistical hyped-up business tycoon with no sense of integrity or humanity … constantly wearing an odd turtleneck. Somehow the filmmakers thought it a good idea to explain this lack of soul showing a young Michelle being continually "returned" to her orphanage (run by a nun played by Margo Martindale).

When Michelle's business rival (and former business associate and former lover) Renault/Ron (Peter Dinklage) turns her into the SEC for insider trading, the correlations with Martha Stewart become impossible to ignore. There is even an acknowledgment of this by McCarthy's character. Once released from white collar prison, Michelle hits rock bottom and ends up sleeping on her former assistant's sofa. Kristen Bell is Claire, the assistant that Michelle once dumped on and now crashes with. Ms. Bell is mostly relegated to "straight man" to McCarthy's string of lame punchlines.

In the spirit of exaggeration in lieu of creativity, three scenes in particular stand out: the street fight between rival scout troops, a ridiculous breast grope-off with McCarthy and Bell, and a clumsily staged sword fight between McCarthy and Dinklage. The missed opportunity to have a point about girls in business, and stooping to schmaltz with the Michelle family story are every bit as disappointing as the mostly unfunny and constant use of profanity-laced insults. Saying "suck his d***"over and over in one scene does not make it funny … in fact, it's a bit sad.

story line:
What We Know So Far: The DC comic revolves around a group of anti-heroes who take on dangerous missions for the government in exchange for commuted sentences.  Smith is Deadshot, Robbie is Harley Quinn, Leto is The Joker, Courtney is Captain Boomerang, Kinnaman is Rick Flagg, Delevingne is Enchantress, and Davis plays Amanda Waller, who is essentially DC’s Nick Fury. This is Warner Bros.’ first non-Superman film in its new DC Movie Universe, and Ayer appears to be striking a much darker yet playful tone judging by David Ayer
